Kenya

Here in Nigeria when we talk about traveling, for some reason African countries are not always the typical destination we have in mind and I've always wondered why. We usually think of the UK, the USA, Dubai, and the likes, and this is not always so for people from these places. They always think of neighboring countries, if not all the time at least a lot more than we think of holidaying in neighboring countries. The major reason I think it is like this is that their passports usually allow them into these countries visa-free but this is not common in Africa. When you do not have to go through the stress of applying for a visa, I believe it brings a lot more motivation for traveling.

The fact that this is not the case with us should not stop us from exploring other African countries and one very beautiful African country that is worth visiting is Kenya. If you are a fan of animals there are a lot of places to go to like the Giraffe center, the elephant orphanage, Nairobi National park where you can go on a Safari. And if you are a fan of the "Island-like" environment, Diani Beach has a whole lot for you. Going there was very impromptu for me, so I couldn't explore as I should have but I will definitely be going back.

Getting into Kenya is fairly easy, before leaving you can apply for an e-visa which takes approximately 3 working days to process or get a visa on arrival. Do not forget to take your yellow fever vaccine and go with your yellow card.

I promise you would not regret visiting. Do have a lovely day.
